Aidy Quinn "Shines With The Stars".
Claire Kerley and Northern Sound Radio invited Aidy to appear at the stations first major show and his Band had the honour of backing the many artists who appeared on the night. These artists included Daniel O'Donnell, Big Tom, Philomena Begley, Margo, Mike Denver, John Glenn, TR Dallas and many more. The capacity audience and artists all had great words of praise for Aidy's Band who ably backed them in at least four numbers each. In addition Aidy had the privilege of performing the popular Johnny Cash/June Carter duet 'Jackson' with his mum Philomena Begley.
During the evening Daniel O'Donnell who was a surprise guest at this unique gathering made a special presentation to Big Tom.
Aidy and his Band had just returned that morning from a very successful 11 day Scottish tour that included Shetland and Orkney Isles and The Highland Region. This area included a very successful first visit to the prestigious The Northern Nashville CM Club, Thurso, Caithness that was sold out. He also took time out to visit some local radio stations and personally thank the presenters for playing his music and also the listeners for requesting it. He looks forward to fulfilling the many invitations to return again when time permits.
Aidy is presently busy in the recording studio putting together his forthcoming album due out very soon. This album will have a good mixture of music including including some songs that his fans have suggested as he takes a lot of time speaking with them and listening to their views.
A promotional single taken from this recording session will be released in a few weeks.
Welsh fans and friends will have a unique opportunity to see and hear Aidy Quinn live for the first time when he appears at South Wales Music Festival, Trecco Bay Holiday Park, Porthcawl, Cardiff on Sunday November 18th in the company of Susan McCann, The Furey Brothers and Dave Arthur and many more. Organisers are fast preparing this to be the first Annual Music Event at Trecco Bay Holiday Park.

Aidy Quinn Receives Another Award.
Recently Aidy received Single of the Year Award for his latest single Waltzing Margarita Round The Room. This award was presented on behalf of the listeners to Tipperary Mid West Radio at their star studded Annual Awards Dinner in The Templemore Arms Hotel, Co. Tipperary. Aidy graciously accepted his special presentation witnessed by many of Ireland's leading names in the world of country music along with some of his friends and fans who had travelled long distances to be part of this exciting evening.
This now adds to a growing list of awards for one of Irelands bright young talents in country music.
Last month Aidy performed in Boston, USA following an invitation by a couple on the occasion of their wedding. This invitation came as a result of the couple hearing him during an earlier trip to Europe. Aidy was so well received in Boston that he fitted in another appearance the following evening at The Fiddler where a promoter attending issued Aidy's management team with an open invitation to tour over there when time permits.
Recently Aidy also had a very unique experience when he made a special appearance to sing at the final evening of Fr. Brian D'Arcy's well known Novena of Hope at The Graan, Enniskillen. He led the 2,000 strong crowd with some of his now well known renditions along with accompanying other well known artists in some gospel songs. Another very successful appearance in August was Clonmany, Co. Donegal where he entertained 5,500 people during their 40th Annual Festival. This festival is now one of the most successful Band Festivals in Ireland.
Aidy's Booking Agent Purple Heather Promotions have a very busy schedule planned that includes festivals and major dance and theatre venues at home in Ireland and also London, Manchester and Hunstanton, Norfolk in The UK, following with a major Scottish Tour from September 21st through to September 30th. Following in the footsteps of his mum 'International Queen of Country Music' Philomena Begley, Aidy will appear in Kirkwall and Isle of Westray in The Orkneys and several concerts and dances in Shetland Isles along with three shows in the Northern Scottish region.
The future looks bright for this new young Tyrone talent and his six piece Band as he is also invited to perform as part of some future shows when his mum Philomena Begley and Ray Lynam will return to sing together after twenty years.
